Wedding Day

Prep & Prime

Please

Establish a good skin routine with products that focus on exfoliating and hydration at least 2 months prior to your big day. Great looking and hydrated skin will help your makeup to stay better and longer!

Please

No facial waxing or spray tan within 3 days before the wedding day. Waxing will often strip off the top layer of skin which affects how the makeup will adhere. Spray tan colours usually develop to their true colour after 3 days. Chemical peels should be done at least 3-4 weeks prior to the wedding day.

Please

Kindly inform your makeup artist during the trial if you will tan your skin more between the makeup trial and wedding day.

Please

Stay hydrated!! Your skin needs water to flush out toxins, stay subtle, and clear. Your lips will thank you too!

Please

Don’t eat high salt food or late night snacks the night before the wedding. Salty or late dinners will often cause water retention the next day, which is most visible on the face i.e. puffy eyes and cheeks.

Please

Bring your favourite sunscreen and moisturizer to the trial appointment and on the wedding day. The artist will have dermatologist approved hypoallergenic moisturizer in her kit. However, it is beneficial to come with sunscreen and moisturizer that you’ve used before to best fit your skin type needs. If you have your favourite lip colour you’d like to wear for your special day, please feel free to bring it and show it to the artist before application starts.

Please

Inform the artist of any possible allergies you and bridal party might have. i.e. latex, etc.

Please

Don’t wash your hair the morning of the wedding day. Please wash it the night before. If you must wash it in the morning of the wedding day, please make sure it’s completely dry before meeting the stylists. Freshly washed hair is often harder to hold the style as they are more slippery.

Please

Inform everyone from your bridal party to show up with completely dry hair for the stylists. Wet hair needs to be 100% dried before styling can proceed. This will result in delay of the original scheduled time frame and will incur an additional blow dry fee if stylist is asked or needs to provide such service.

Please

Make sure if you have all the tasks delegated to specific personnel and inform your bridal party to eat before their scheduled time. Any last minute running around by the bride or bridal party often cause delay in the makeup and hair completion time. We schedule each application in a time sensitive manner. Any delay in completion will incur an additional fee in half an hour increments. It is best to delegate tasks that require running around to someone other than your bridesmaids because often they show up with sweat in their hair afterwards (which requires drying) or they come back to the station frequently to ask for touch up’s which will again delay the application process for another person. A final exam and touch up for lips will be provided at the end when all of the bridal party’s makeup is done.

Please

Plan an open area with good natural light, a table, and chairs for artists to set up the station.

Please

Anticipate that we’ll arrive 15 minutes before the start time to set up the station and need 15 minutes after completion to pack up the tools.

Please

Have reference photos for the makeup look you’d like to achieve. If you wish to have a specific/similar looks among all your bridesmaids, please discuss with them prior to the wedding day and provide reference photos.

Please

Inform your bridal party that tattoo cover up requires additional makeup fee for both male or female party as it takes extra time and a fair amount of products. A last minute request on the event day sometimes cannot be granted due to pre-scheduled completion time. Pre booking is recommended.

Please

Kindly notify us of the time the photographer will arrive so we could have the bride’s makeup mostly ready and let the photographer take detailed shots on the finishing touches.

I do complimentary light powering (to take away the shine), eyebrow filling, redness cover up for the groom given that the bride and the groom will be at the same location and has scheduled within the get ready time.
