Frequently Asked Questions
What brands or tools do you use?
My makeup & hair kit contains many brands and are often switched in and out depending on the clients’ skin type and undertones. This is not only because each brand has its own star/best selling products but also decided with each makeup application experience.
To name a few:
Anastasia Beverly Hills, Becca, Ben Nye, Benefit, Bumble and Bumble, Chanel, Cinema Secrets, Christian Dior, Cover FX, Dolly Wink, Eve Pearl, Etude House, Giorgio Armani, Guerlian, Hour Glass, It Cosmetics, Kevin Aucoin, Laura Mercier, M.A.C Cosmetics, Make Up Forever, Marc Jacobs, Nars, NYX, O.B.C., RCMA, Smashbox, Stilia, Tarte, Temptu Airbrush, Tony Moly, Too Faced, Urban Decay, YSL, and more.
The market these days is saturated with many new upcoming makeup lines. If you don’t see certain brands mentioned above, I might have used them in the past or currently having them in my personal makeup kit only. What’s in my work makeup kit will never be for personal use; therefore, they are always highly sanitized.
Do you provide Airbrush makeup?
Yes, airbrush makeup is a very popular choice among brides because of its light weight application and the ability to build from sheer to full coverage. Much like traditional makeup, it has variety of formulations to achieve different finishes such as matte, semi-matte, dewy, waterproof (alcohol based), etc.. You’ll feel a fine mist with colour pigments coming out of an airbrush gun during the application. It is quick to apply and has long lasting affect. Please kindly mention if you’d like airbrush makeup when you book for the makeup trial.
Should I have a makeup trial?
Having a makeup trial is like having your final fitting for the wedding or prom dress. It also gives you a chance to know whether some colours or looks you originally desired will work on you or not. It is not uncommon to have clients that will have two trials to try different looks. One trial/consultation usually lasts 90 minutes. Any (makeup only) trial longer than 120 minutes will be considered as an additional trial. A full makeup application will be completed by the end along with complimentary false lashes. The artist will take notes and a few photos for reference.
If you’d like to utilize the trial for a special event or photo shoots, we could add light hair styling into your trial for a small fee. Light hair styling includes waves, curls, volumes, straightening. If you’d like to have a full hair updo’s, it will be considered a hair trial.
If you have hair styling service with a stylist from another studio, we recommended that you have the hair styling appointment first before arriving for the makeup trial to ensure your makeup stays impeccable.
Does your makeup fee include false lashes?
A complimentary pair of false lashes will be included in each makeup application. If you’d like luxe lashes (i.e. Velour, Lilly, M.A.C., Mink, etc.), additional cost of the luxe lashes will be added on top of the total fee. You’re welcome to purchase your preferred luxe lashes and bring it for the artist to apply under the condition that false lashes have not been previously used/applied. The luxe lashes should be brand new in the package still for sanitary reasons. The artist will examine and not apply false lashes that are deemed to be poor quality.
If you’d like the artist to order the specific luxe lashes for your desired look, please advise at the time of booking to allow for ordering time.
Do you do touch up? Or provide whole day service?
There is a whole day service rate available for brides that would like multiple changes of looks. Whole day service rate is based on the hours required and number of changes. Additional logistic costs to travel among locations will also be discussed in the quote.
A basic touch up kit will be provided for the bride and all persons getting their makeup done. Please inform the artist at booking time / during the trial if you’d to purchase the upgraded touch up kit. Please also remember to bring your own touch up essentials if you’d like to add them to the complimentary or upgraded touch up kit.
What is the booking process?
We’re honoured that you have shown interest in our work! To ensure that we respond efficiently to your inquiry, please include the date, time, location(s), service required, number of party when you email via email@example.com

Please have your reference photos ready for the appointment.
